The people of Warrior Aviation, in concert with their distinguished sponsors, recently held a golf tournament to benefit the program’s scholarship fund. This tournament, held at the Whiskey Creek Golf Course in Frederick, Maryland, has become a tradition for Warrior Aviation and a wonderful opportunity to highlight the outstanding achievements of their sponsored warriors. This year was no exception as the course was packed with people supporting the efforts of Warrior Aviation.

 

Known more for screaming jets, flight suits, crowded show lines, and thrilling performances, Warrior Aviation took the opportunity recently to let the Warrior Flight Team enjoy the results of their work this season. Throughout the first few months of the air show season, flight team members have worked diligently to recruit new sponsors, and new warriors, for the program. The annual golf tournament at Whiskey Creek is a chance for all those involved in Warrior Aviation, whether as a scholarship recipient, sponsor, or team member, to relax and celebrate the freedoms our nation’s veterans provide.

 

The day began early with words of thanks for all those who allow Warrior Aviation to continue its mission to support and advance the lifetime goals of wounded warriors. The organization’s sponsors are a critical member of the Warrior Aviation team in providing support and opportunities for the veterans involved. The day was filled with tournament prizes, raffles, and an auction, with all proceeds going to the scholarship funds.
